 Royal Albert, Crown China pattern no.9072 Cake Plate c.1932

A clotted cream body with hand painted over transfer green flowers with orange enamel dots in the centres and trailing gold branches. Lashings of gold gilding to the rim.

Hand painted detail. The gilding appears brown in our picture but it is actually a gorgeous bright antique gold.
