Sadler Black and Gold Filigree Teapot, Sugar Box and Creamer Set c.1947+

Sadler vintage teapot, lidded sugar box and creamer or milk jug.

Decorated with a shiny black glaze both inside (which is unusual) and outside. Panels have been created on the flat sides by outlining with gold scrolls and above and between the panels is a very delicate gold filigree pattern. Lashings of gold gilding have been applied to the spout, handle, base, rims and the finials on the lids.

Teapot 1.75 pint capacity suitable for both loose tea leaves and tea bags with straining holes in the spout. 

Half pint milk jug or creamer and matching twin handled lidded sugar box.

This is a super set in lovely condition.
