A fabulous Duchess vintage bone china teapot in the Verona pattern designed by Jenny Rhodes.
Inspired by the Art Nouveau period and the blue and white china pre 1900 this lovely teapot has a pattern of curvey urns and scrolls on a blue wash background. There is a border along the rim and the spout, handle and lid are also patterned.
The handle is joined to the body with an acanthus leaf design and the rims are gold gilded.
Two pint capacity - over one litre and with straining holes in the spout this teapot is suitable for both loose tea leaves and tea bags.
There is a teeny tiny area of transfer smudge on the handle where the thumb sits.
Made by Duchess China in the famous Staffordshire Potteries.
