Alfred Meakin Marigold Vintage Teapot and Stand. c.1937
A beautiful clotted cream colour body with embossed details on the spout & handle, four scroll feet and an orange and yellow leaf pattern on a monochrome tree.
The feet, handle, spout and finial on the lid are all hand painted in orange.
The teapot stand is in the Astoria shape and measures 18cm wide. There is some very faint mottling to the raised central area.
The teapot holds a comfortable 1.5 pints and has straining holes in the spout for use with both loose tea and tea bags. There is a miniscule chip on the safety lip of the lid which cannot be seen with the lid in place.

This is a really beautiful collectible late Art Deco period teapot and stand and is in remarkable condition for an almost 80 year old piece.
