Royal Albert Crown China, Royalty pattern Imari style vintage milk jug and sugar bowl.c.1932
c.1932 This stunning milk and sugar set is made from bone china and decorated in Imari colours. A cobalt blue glaze over a rust coloured transfer print. A bold art deco design with hand painted dark orange flowers and bright green leaves. A gold milk jug handle and gold gilding around the bases and rims.
Gold has been hand painted around the decorative panals. In bygone times, gold was used more liberally on chinaware than it is today and would sparkle under soft candlelight.

Back stamp: Royal Albert Crown China. Royalty. Made in the Staffordshire Potteries, England by Thomas C. Wilde and Sons, St Mary's Works, Longton. Pattern Registration No.789616 c.1931-2, Milk Jug & Sugar Bowl Registration No.773311 c.1932.
Fabulous collectible vintage china. There is some very fine underglaze crazing on the bases and a teeny bit of wear to the gold gilding on the jug handle otherwise in perfectly usable condition.
