After a little investigation we have discovered that Tatton was likely to be Henry Tatton, a retailer of fine goods in Edinburgh, Scotland in the early 20th century. This china is very similar indeed to Plant Tuscan China made in the 1920s and 30s in the Staffordshire Potteries. There is very little information available regarding Gainsborough China and the Scottish retailer.
A rare vintage teacup, saucer and tea plate for afternoon tea and a lovely gift for someone special.
