A mismatched vintage china three-tiered cake stand with a teacup top.
Created from an eclectic mix of pretty china plates.
The top tier is a Royal Grafton vintage fine bone china teacup. Date c.1935+ Made in England. Decorated with a blue hydrangea design and gold detail on the handle. The saucer was made by Victoria China (Cartwright & Edwards) c.1929+. Fluted fine china with a scalloped edge with stippled gold. A ditsy pink scattered rose design.
The middle tier is a Grafton cream glaze 17.5cm plate. Fine bone china date c.1935+. Made in the Staffordshire Potteries England by R.H. & S. L. Plant Ltd. A tasteful border of hand painted green and gold flowers and a gold edge.
The base tier is a Melba English bone china cake plate. Hand tinted with tulip style flowers over a transfer printed garden scene. Some wear to the gold gilding on the handle. 23cm x 20.5cm. Date 1948-51.
