Duchess China Coffee Set Art Nouveau Era for Six

A Duchess China Art Nouveau style vivid yellow coffee set.

Duchess China ~ Company of Edwards & Brown, Victoria Works, Longton, Staffordshire Potteries, England. Backstamped Duchess China. E.B & L. Made in England. Date circa 1910+. Pattern no. 2750.

Each cup measures 6.5cm high x 7cm diameter at the rim. The saucers are 12.5cm diameter.

The coffee pot is an elegant urn shape with a slender spout and handle. Approximately 21cm high from the base to the lid top.

Includes a matching cream jug and sugar bowl.

Clean unmarked condition inside. No chips, cracks or crazing. There has been some heavy wear to the gold gilding and the pattern in places. One saucer in particular has lost some pattern around the edge as can be seen in the image below.

Decorated in a bright lemon yellow, with tiny hand tinted and gold gilt flower garland droppers and an elegant black trailing leaf border.

A fine early 19th century coffee set perfect for period interior design and display or for very elegant after dinner coffee.
